Founder and General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, has some words of advice for parents and caregivers since the Chrisland sex tape saga is yet to taper off.

The cleric joined the barrage of commenters, condemning the illicit sex tape involving some pupils of Chrisland School as popularised by the victim, a 10-year old (name withheld for propriety).

The sex tape went viral when the mother of the preteen claimed that her daughter was raped during Chrisland’s recent excursion to Dubai.

Wading into the now viral news, Ibiyeomie simply advised parents to steer clear, acquiring phones for their wards until they gain admission into the university.

Spanking parents for failing in their primary responsibility of nurturing their children, the pastor shared via his Instagram page, that efforts must be put in place to control children’s exposure to the media.

Among a litany of kind words, he also advised parents to teach their children sex education at home, regulate the use of TV and internet use too.

The Salvation man wrote: “The Bible said you should train your child the way he should grow and not depart from it. There is a thread(sic) in our society today where parents are no longer taking responsibility to train their children.”

“It’s a disturbing thread(sic), parents are busy and absent from the training of their children. I emphasise on the following points. Parents should encourage discipline from home. Parents of adolescents children should use wisdom to teach sex education and not allow them learn from their peers.”

According to Ibiyeomie: “Parents should regulate TV and internet use. Unlimited access to internet and mobile phone should be discouraged. Infact, don’t buy phone for any child who has not gone to university. It may sound very awkward, I know you’re too civilized but do not do it.

He then walked the talk and demonstrated that he would never buy his son a handheld until he gets to the university.

He said: “I refuse to buy David a phone till he gets to high school and told him he will never use phone till he enters university. Now, he thank(sic) me saying he now understands. Phone and tatablets(sic) anything pops up, let them use your own. Buy a landline, put in your parlour and if they don’t agree stand your ground.”

Prime Business Africa recalls that pupils from the elite private school located in Victoria Garden City had embarked on a trip to Dubai to participate in the World School Games between March 10 and 13, 2022 when the incident happened. Following the occurence, the school authorities suspended the student indefinitely, stating that she was “a major actor” in the “immoral act.”

Apparently dismayed by her daughter’s suspension, the mother of the student claimed that her daughter was only drugged and raped by some male students of the school so didn’t deserve the punishment.

Following the accompanying controversy especially because the victim was still a minor, the Lagos state government had to shut down all Chrisland schools, state-wide. Furthermore, the state government in a statement on Monday, warned everyone that further sharing of the footage would attract up to a 14-year jail term since the sex tape contravenes the child pornography act.
