Nollywood actress, Chioma Toplis has disclaimed any responsibility for a viral post which quoted her to have said that she will not attend her father’s burial when he dies.

Toplis in her social media post called out some news bloggers for the fake news only to dispel them as “mushroom bloggers,” she would not want to waste her time on.

Using screen shot of the Niche, She wrote in pidgin with four wild laugh emojis: “I don give up for mushroom bloggers matter. Thank God say na me dey write all my stories/gists myself o. Imagine say na BREAKING NEWS.”

She also called out kemifilani.ng and wrote: “How many strokes of the cane make we give this one? Osino divorced mother of 3??? Where are all these lazy youth mushroom bloggers coming out from bikonu? You know I like it when they no know my marital status.. It confuses umu ekwensu too much.”

For whirlwindnews.com.ng, the ‘embattled’ actress wrote: “This one na very LAZY blogger abi journalist sef. From using the wrong picture to writing rubbish in the Name of trying to get an attractive headline, He or She deserves 24 strokes of the cane. Anyway na wetin fit their Papaa sef not mine as dem don bury am like this.”

Toplis also wrote on the same report but from Instablog this time: “Oya oo enemies rush, my gist don drop goan use una fake accounts osiso and write..that is what cowards do just 3 mins ago. Ayam still the boss, we don’t pay to be published unlike them hehehe.”

In a separate post, the London-based Nollywood actress, continued to berate the news bloggers, querying: “I hope this news brings you the traffic on your page that you so desired and I hope that you will be there at the court on 14th April which is tomorrow to get more fake news.”

Prime Business Africa recalls that a social media post had gone viral claiming that Toplis had written: ““I thought we are the only ones that have a useless father. He is an elder in the church too. We are in the same boat, my mother left my father too for many reasons ranging from laziness, lousiness, cheating, senselessness, foolishness, beating… in fact everything bad.”

“Do you know what? She is the winner for leaving alive. I grew up wondering what… made my mother marry such an awful man. I won’t even attend his burial even if I am in Nigeria…” the post alleged.

The supposed fake post continued: “The most interesting part is none of my siblings will either. Except my brother the first son just to fulfill the native and custom law. Yes, he will die before us because he came to this world before us! His burial will be nothing to write home about. Just open the ground and throw him in at the corner of our house beside the garden.”
