Ukraine Invasion: Intel Halts Business In Russia

In case you missed it, the US chip giant had suspended shipments to customers in Russia and Belarus last month on the ground that it has implemented business continuity measures to minimize disruption to its global operations.

The company said in a statement: “Intel continues to join the global community in condemning Russia’s war against Ukraine and calling for a swift return to peace.”

With the latest development, Intel has become the newest business to halt all business in apparent protest to the Russian attack on its sister country, Ukraine.

International Business Machines Corp earlier suspended shipments as Ukraine urged US cloud-computing and software companies to cut ties with Russia.

On 24 February 2022, Russia began a military invasion of Ukraine in a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict that had begun in 2014. The invasion will reportedly go down in history as the largest military conflict in Europe since World War II.
