While the United dominated possession and quite a lot of the ball, they struggled to turn this dominance into clear-cut scoring opportunities.

Palace, however, remained a threat on the counter-attack, with Jean-Philippe Mateta spurning a golden chance to break the deadlock. The flow of the game was disrupted by several stoppages due to injuries, including a brief scare for Daniel Munoz.

Nevertheless, United kept control on ball possession, creating numerous promising attacks, they were unable to find a breakthrough for a goal. Crystal Palace, on the other hand, remained a dangerous, distributing a thrilling counter-attack, with Ismaila Sarr proving to be a lively distributor.

Both sides made tactical substitutions, with key players like Lisandro Martinez, Manuel Ugarte, and Rasmus Hoejlund weighing in for United.
