Many Feared Dead After Tragic Accident At MFM Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A devastating accident occurred around the Prayer City of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM), along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday morning, resulting in multiple fatalities.

A Vanagon bus attempting to manoeuvre between two petroleum tankers was crushed, causing widespread shock and concern.

Video clips from the scene show the two trailers lying side-by-side with the yellow passenger bus completely wedged between them.

Madam Lois, an Ogun State resident who was on her way to Lagos, witnessed the tragic incident. She described the scene as chaotic, with the accident causing significant traffic gridlock as rescue operations were ongoing. “It was a terrible sight,” she said. “The bus was sandwiched between the two tankers, and it was clear that there were multiple fatalities.”

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to begin rescue operations.  Some Federal Road Safety Corps officials were sighted at the scene working with others to evacuate the wreckage of the vehicle and clear the obstruction on the road.

As of the time of filing this report, the police and road safety had yet to issue any official statement regarding the incident.

Also, the total number of casualties is yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.

The accident caused significant traffic disruption, with many commuters stranded on the road. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and plan their routes accordingly.
