Global Citizen in partnership with Nigeria Solidarity Support Fund (NSSF) will be hosting a live event, Global Citizen Live Lagos on September 25th, 2021, calling on Global Citizens, historic artists, and leaders from around the world to defend the planet and defeat poverty.

The lineup of artists to perform at the Global Citizen Live Lagos are Femi Kuti Davido, Tiwa Savage, and Made Kuti. With Burna boy performing as a guest artist at the Global Citizen Live New York City.

The 24-hour event which is a part of the Global Citizen Recovery Plan for the World campaign focuses on COVID-19, ending the hunger crisis, resuming learning for all, protecting the planet, and advancing equity for all; will be happening simultaneously in different parts of the world. Lagos, Paris, New York City, Mumbai, Los Angeles, Seoul, Sydney, Rio, London, and others.

Global Citizen is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030 by organizing massive Global campaigns to amplify the actions of Global Citizens from around the world. Global Citizen works in partnership with the NGO sector and corporate sponsors to deliver audience and value in innovative and impactful ways. Hence, the partnership with NSSF for the Global Citizen Live event happening in Lagos.

Nigeria Solidarity Support Fund (NSSF) is a not-for-profit set up as a novel resource mobilization platform to supplement efforts to mitigate the negative economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Nigeria by assisting vulnerable members of the population.
NSSF’s partnership with Global Citizen will aid their mission to vaccinate 1 million Nigerians by 2022, fully equip primary health centers to take care of COVID-19, and reorient the Nigerian workforce for a post-pandemic world.
