ISDEVCOM Partners NAN For International Conference On Migration, Development

The Institute of Strategic and Development Communication (ISDEVCOM) of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has partnered with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) to host the 6th International Conference on Development Communication.

The conference, themed “Japa: Communicating Migration, Diaspora, and Africa’s Development,” will take place on 27-28 March 2025, at NSUK.

ISDEVCOM aims to train experts in strategically communicating development initiatives to ensure ownership and sustainability. The partnership with NAN will provide extensive coverage of the conference, resonating across Nigeria and beyond.

Dr. Azubuike Erinugha, leading the ISDEVCOM delegation, expressed gratitude for NAN’s long-standing support and emphasised the need for substantial reach and mobility across Nigeria and outside the country.

The conference will feature discussions on migration and its impact on Africa, with keynote speakers and panel discussions. Two special humanitarian awards will be presented to the CEO of Air Peace and Pastor Stephen Olusola for their contributions to community development.

NAN’s Managing Director, Mallam Ali M. Ali, affirmed NAN’s commitment to the partnership, stating that they will provide support to take the conference’s story to the rest of Africa and the world.

The conference has garnered significant support from organisations such as the European Union, African Development Bank, and Nigerians in Diaspora Commission.
