Gulder Ultimate Search Reveals Contestants To Make It To The Jungle

OUT of over 20,000 applicants who registered to participate in the Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) 2021, 20 contestants was unveiled yesterday, September 26, at the selection party held at Eko Hotels in Lagos, with only 16 making it to the jungle. The event also revealed a fresh rebranded new look of Gulder Lager beer.

After series of regional screenings in Abuja, Enugu, and Lagos, as well as the Sea School screening in Lagos, twenty candidates advanced to the final selection stage of GUS – The Age of Craftsmanship. The twenty finalists further went through another series of medical (COVID-19 test inclusive), mental, and physical fitness screening and according to Maria Shadeko, Portfolio Manager – Flavoured, Craft & Non-Lager, Nigerian Breweries Plc, “they are the fittest and most outstanding among more than 20,000 applicants who registered to participate in GUS this year.”

The unveiling event, however, saw only 16 contestants in the persons of Adewale Adedamola Thompson, Chidinma Okeibe, Damilola Odedina, Emmanuel Nnebe, Estima Edem, Gerald Odeka, Tosin Eniola, Umorean Iniabasi, Jennifer Okorie, Mfom Mikel Essien, Tobechukwu, Olayinka Omeya, Omokhafe Racheal, Solomon Yankari, Opeyemi Ishmael and Orevapghene Godswill make it to the jungle.

However, the event host, Gideon Okeke, made it known that the remaining four contestants will be placed on a wildcard and one of them will be able to return to the jungle-based on the viewer’s vote which commences by 12am today, September 27 for 24 hours. These four contestants are; Samson Abah, Odudu Otu, Shalom Omoikhudu, and Osasere Ogbanile.

The contestant will be in the jungle to struggle against themselves and nature in their search for the hidden treasure that brings the last person standing, instant fame and fortune of over N50 million.

Gulder Ultimate Search will air on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151), Africa Magic Urban (DStv channel 153) and Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154 & GOtv channel 2) on Saturday and Sunday from 8-9 pm.

According to Task master Kunle Remi, GUS is “going to be so big and loud, I have no doubt that the contestants are up to something big.”
