Again, APC Postpones Rivers State Congresses Indefinitely

The All Progressives Congress (APC), has again postponed the Rivers State chapter elective congresses indefinitely. The elective congresses were earlier scheduled to hold on the 16th, 23rd and 30th of November 2024. This was made known in a statement by the Directorate of Organisation, National Headquarters, Abuja.

The statement titled “Notice of postponement of APC Rivers State Elective Congresses,” said: “This is to inform members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), River State Chapter that the Party’s Ward, LGA and State Congresses that was earlier scheduled to hold on the 16th, 23rd and 30th of November, 2024 respectively have been postponed indefinitely.”

APC said new dates for the Rivers State chapter elective congresses will be communicated in due course.

Prime Business Africa reports that this is the second time the APC has postponed the Rivers State chapter elective congresses since it released the official schedule of activities and timetable for the exercise in early October.

The Rivers State chapter’s elective congresses was earlier scheduled for 26th October 2024 (ward congress), 2nd November 2024 (LGA congress) and 9th November 2024 (state congress) but later postponed to November 16th, 23rd and 30th of November, 2024, according to a statement issued last month in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
