How to Write and Send a Follow-Up Email after Interview

Sending a follow-up email after an interview is a great way to show your continued interest in the job and to reiterate your qualifications. It can also help you to stay top-of-mind with the hiring manager.

Here are some tips on how to write and send a follow-up email after an interview:

Send the email within 24 hours of the interview. This shows that you are eager and that you are serious about the job.
Address the email to the person who interviewed you. If you are not sure who interviewed you, you can address the email to “Hiring Manager” or “Human Resources.”
Start the email by thanking the interviewer for their time. Be sure to mention the specific date and time of the interview.
Reiterate your interest in the job. Explain why you are interested in the company and the position.
Highlight your qualifications. This is your chance to remind the interviewer of your strengths and why you are a good fit for the job.
Ask for an update on the status of your application. This shows that you are still interested in the job and that you are eager to hear back from the company.
