Breaking: APC reschedules Congresses, National Convention

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rescheduled its congresses and national convention to a “later date.”

A letter to the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) co-signed by the National Secretary and the Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), James Akpan Udoedehe and Mai Mala Buni respectively, informed the electoral body that a new date would be communicated.

The CECPC did not however give reasons for the indefinite postponement.

The Committee, which also sought INEC’s cooperation, said the memo served as “a formal notification” pursuant to the provisions of Section 85 the Electoral Act (2010) as ammended.
