APC's NEC Surrenders Nomination Of Candidates, Disciplinary Powers To NWC

The National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the highest organ of the Party has at its ongoing Emergency meeting in Abuja, devolved to its National Working Committee (NWC) all multi-level powers relating to nomination of candidates for the 2023 general elections as well as disciplinary actions against organs and members.

The NWC of the party is made up of just 25 top officers, led by the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu. The development means that the NWC can take all actions relating to implementing its timetable for the 2023 general elections without recourse to the highest decision-making organ of then party.

Recall that Prime Business Africa had reported that the NWC  called the emergency meeting for April 20 to have the NEC endorse some of its decisions as they relate to nomination of candidates and allied matters.
