A combination of artillery, heavy equipment and small arms  is being deployed by the Russian troops who launched attacks from  Belarus, Ukraine’s northern border. The attack came from across Belarus’ eastern frontier with Russia , and in the southern part of Crimea, which was, until 2014 when it was invaded and annexed by Russia, the Ukranian peninsula.
