Two days after his demise, many of his fans told Prime Business Africa that they were still in shock.

Adeola Omowunmi said she loved watching Baba Suwe’s roles in movies because he was bound to make one laugh.

“I don’t know him personally but I feel he was a fun person. It’s sad that he is no more. I really don’t know who can step into his shoes in the industry.

An anonymous commentator responded to Prime Business Africa’s survey and explained thus: “I have been watching Baba Suwe’s comedy, from the mid 90’s in ‘Erinkeke Lagbole Baba Suwe.’ I just grew fond of him doing something stupid, like the Nigerian Frank Spencer.

“He was not the best but he gave comedy his best. May his soul rest in peace, Florence Eyitayo, said.

Biodun Olakinrin said: “I think he will be sorely missed by his colleagues in the industry, his acting style was different from others. For me, he (Baba Suwe) was a natural talent. He made movies come alive with his comical skills. We, his fans, are surely going to miss him in movies.

“We love him but God loves him more.

The late Babatunde Omidina was buried at his residence in the suburb of Ikorodu, Lagos State on Wednesday .
