IGP Supports Families Of 15 Deceased Officers With N22.7M

INSPECTOR General of Police has presented a cheque of N22.7 million to families of deceased officers in the state who lost their life in the line of duty.

Commissioner of Police Nassarawa Command, CP Adesina Soyemi today, 23rd of September, 2021 presented the IGP Group Life Assurance cheques of Twenty two million , Seven hundred and Twenty six thousand, Nine hundred naira and Eighty three kobo (₦22,726,926,83k) to the families of deceased police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in the state, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba, urging them to make good use of the money.
The Commissioner, while speaking at the presentation ceremony said the initiative is from the Inspector-General of Police “Group life Assurance” and it is aimed at supporting the families of deceased Police officers who died in active service.
He also noted that the gesture was also aimed at boosting the morale of all Police officers in the country in order to spur them to do more in protecting the territorial integrity of Nigeria there by, reclaiming public space from criminal elements as their welfare is of utmost importance to the current administration of the Force”, CP Soyemi said.
The CP, thanked the Inspector-general of Police for his tireless efforts towards ensuring an enduring welfare package for all Police personnel and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the money in ameliorating the needs of the deceased’s dependants.
The beneficiaries lauded the Inspector-General of Police and promised to make judicious use of the money.
