FAAN Begins Installation Of Screening Equipment At Lagos, Abuja Airports

THE Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has acquired and commenced the installation of screening equipment at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja

The agency said the new equipment would provide safety, security and comfort.

The General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, explained that additional 15 security screening machines had been procured for immediate deployment to the General Aviation Terminal and Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

Yakubu said, “FAAN wishes to inform airlines, passengers and other stakeholders that the equipment required for addressing recent challenges in airport operations and facilitation management systems have arrived Nigeria and are already being installed.

“The authority is using this opportunity to appeal to all stakeholders to please bear with us while the installation would last, as all hands are on deck to ensure speedy completion of the project.”
