A statement signed by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan dated November 26, 2021, stated that following the advice of the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, officers in that category are expected to resume duty physically.

Part of the statement reads, “in line with the recommendation of the Committee on COVID-19, Mr President has approved the vaccine mandate policy. All Federal Government employees would therefore be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result done within 72 hours.”

The head of service also mandated the officers who are yet to take the COVID-19 vaccine to do so at various National Primary Health Care centres nationwide.
