The Chairman, Grand Towers Limited, Nze Chidi Duru, has further demonstrated his love for humanity with the attraction of food items worth over a million naira to Lampada Community Children’s Home, Igboukwu, Aguata, Anambra State from the MTN Foundation Orphanage Support Initiative.
The items were delivered today, Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the orphanage to the delight of the children and management.
Receiving the items, the Matron of the orphanage, Mrs. Peace Orji, expressed appreciation to Nze Duru and MTN for donating the items, adding that the donation will be put to judicious use by the children.
“We are grateful to Nze Duru and MTN for this gesture at this critical period. This donation will make this year’s Christmas celebration special for the children,” she revealed.
Comr. Ogonna Obi, a representative of Nze Duru who coordinated the delivery of the items, stated that the intervention is part of the business magnate’s commitment towards improving the lives of the less privileged in the society. She added that the gesture is meant to ease the affairs of the beneficiaries, while also contributing to efforts to ensure that they become responsible people in the society.
The items donated include bags of rice, garri, tubers of yam, palm oil, groundnut oil, cartons of beverages, milk, packets of spaghetti, cartons of detergents, carton of sugar, among others.
