As authoritatively  reported by Prime Business Africa (PBA) on Sunday night, the National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Iyiola Omisore has just  stepped down from office thereby toeing the path of the former National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu who resigned on Sunday evening.

Omisore’s exit paved the way for the Deputy National Secretary,  Festus Fuanter (Plateau State),  to immediately assume office as Acting National Secretary.

Meanwhile the Deputy National  Chairman (North), Sen. Abubakar Kyari (Boro State) has also taken over as Acting Chairman to fill the vacuum created by Senator Adamu’s exit.

PBA  Correspondent  who  monitored the events as the NWC prepared to begin the crucial meeting reports that Omisore actually came to the office but was asked to leave immediately by the NWC members. The reporter, however, could not take pictures.

Omisore’s resignation happened just as the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC prepared to  commence its critical meeting scheduled for 12 noon on Monday.

We  had reported that Omisore would also resign his position as secretary following the alleged demand by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
