President of Sogato Strategies LLC and former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Kingsley Moghalu had a meeting with Florizelle Lizer, President /CEO of the U.S. Corporate Council on Africa at the Corporate Council’s headquarters in Washington DC on September 7, 2022.

According to Moghalu in his Twitter post, it was a meeting to discuss ways of increasing investment in Nigeria by American businesses and improve investment decision-making.

The 2019 presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) observed that many multinationals are operating in Nigeria, but many more are deterred by risks- real (which can be managed) or imagined, coupled with “weak economic policymaking and business environments.”

He noted in optimism that many opportunities abound, adding, “2023 should bring more improvements.”
