“The incident at the Abuja runway caused significant disruptions, affecting flight operations nationwide,” Minister Kayemo stated on his post on X page (formerly Twitter).

“This underscores the urgent need for the construction of the Abuja second runway, a matter I prioritized upon assuming office as the Aviation Minister. We’ve recently made progress in securing the land, and construction commenced just two weeks ago.”

This incident further highlights the pressing need for infrastructural developments in the aviation sector to enhance safety and efficiency.
