President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the economic reforms introduced by his administration are beginning to yield positive results, expressing confidence that the country is on the path to greater prosperity and improved security, Prime Business Africa reports.
In his 2026 Eid-el-Kabir message released on Tuesday by the State House, Tinubu congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the celebration of the Islamic festival, describing Eid-el-Kabir as a reminder of faith, sacrifice, obedience, unity, and compassion as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
The President said the festival offers an opportunity for Nigerians to embrace selflessness and show compassion to one another regardless of ethnic, religious, or social differences.

According to him, Nigeria is currently undergoing a process of reconstruction and renewal through reforms that, though difficult, are necessary for building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
Tinubu stated that the sacrifices made by Nigerians and his administration over the past three years had contributed to a more stable economy and improved investor confidence capable of driving job creation and economic growth.
“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” the President said.
He also expressed optimism that the reforms being implemented would continue to improve security and expand opportunities for citizens across the country.
The President acknowledged ongoing security challenges in parts of the country, despite what he described as the efforts of security and intelligence agencies, including the recent elimination of a wanted ISIS leader.
He assured affected communities that they had not been abandoned, stressing that the government would ultimately defeat terrorists, bandits, and other criminal elements threatening national peace and stability.
