Super Falcons Arrive Kobe For Friendly Against Japan

The Super Falcons have touched down in Kobe, Japan ahead of their October 6 international friendly against the Japanese women’s national team reports Prime Business Africa.

The Falcons are one of Africa’s representatives at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia and has been playing high profile friendlies ages of the tournament.

The Twitter handle of the team on Monday gave an update on the team’s preparation for the match.

“Our delegation from Nigeria, today arrived in the Japanese town of Kobe, where they take on 2011 world champions Japan at the Noevir Stadium on 6th October.

“They’ve also been joined by Portugal based duo of Peace Efih and Christiana Ucheibe,” the tweet added.

Nigeria will face the Japanese national team in a preparatory game for their World Cup finals participation.

The Super Falcons will be flying one of Africa’s flags in New Zealand and Australia 2023 and are racking up top quality friendly games.

Nigeria had gone on a double clash against the Americans last month and lost 4-0 and drew 2-2 in both games respectively.

The players and officials of the team arrived in Kobe earlier on Monday and are expected to hit the ground running.

FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup stars Esther Onyenezide and Deborah Abiodun, among others have also arrived in Japan.
