EFCC Declares ex-Power Minister Wanted Over Corruption Charge

Former Minister of Power and Steel, Dr Olu Agunloye, has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday over corruption allegations.

This was contained in a statement released on the Commission’s official website, where it informed the public on the development while requesting assistance in finding him.

Agunloye, who is from the Akoko North Local Government Area in Ondo State, was declared wanted due to an allegation of corruption and forgery.

His image was shared alongside useful information from the anti-graft agency website.

“Anybody with useful information as to his whereabouts should please contact the Commission in its Benin, Kaduna, Ibadan, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Mardi, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Uyo, Port Harcourt, and Abuja offices or contact 08093322644 or email info@efcc.gov.ng or the nearest police station and any other security agencies,” the EFCC statement read.

Prime Business Africa reports that Agunloye was questioned by the anti-graft agency in September on a purported $6 billion Build, Operate, and Transfer deal.

The Commission also declared  Iluyomade Tolulope Akinwale wanted over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.

Akinwale, 39, is from Ondo East Local Government Area, Ondo state.
