UNN-USA Announces 2024-2025 Scholarship, Encourages Special Needs Students To Apply

The University of Nigeria Alumni and Friends Association-USA (UNN-USA), a US-based organisation committed to upholding the dignity of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), has announced its 2024-2025 scholarship, open to current students of the institution.

In a special advisory, the group particularly urged students with disabilities to apply for the award, which will close on 25 October 2024.

The scholarship is aimed at promoting academic excellence and supporting students in need.

Eligibility:

 To be eligible, students must meet certain academic criteria. Applicants must be current undergraduates at UNN, maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, while students with disabilities can apply with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The scholarship is not available to first-year or final-year students as of October 2024, and previous recipients of the award are also ineligible to apply.

To complete the application process, students must submit their UNN registration number, an official GPA document verified by the Department, College, or University, as well as a copy of their UNN ID card. Special needs applicants are additionally required to provide documentation proving the nature of their disability.
