In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old United States man, Justin Mohn, has been arrested for allegedly beheading his father, Michael F. Mohn, and posting the disturbing video on YouTube.

The horrifying incident unfolded in Levittown, Pennsylvania, United States, where Mohn’s father, Michael F. Mohn, was found dead in one of the bathrooms in the family home on Tuesday evening, according to news reports.

The chilling YouTube video, titled “Mohn’s Militia – Call To Arms For American Patriots,” was more than 14 minutes long and featured Justin Mohn wearing gloves while holding his father’s severed head in a plastic bag. The disturbing footage later showed the head placed in a cooking pot. In the video, Mohn accused his father, a federal employee for two decades, of being a traitor, and he called for violence against federal officials, targeting President Joe Biden’s administration, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community, and antifa activists.

Denice Mohn, the victim’s wife and Justin Mohn’s mother, made the gruesome discovery when she arrived home around 7 pm on Tuesday (1:00 AM on Wednesday, Nigerian time). The police found the decapitated body, a machete, and bloody rubber gloves at the scene. Denice Mohn informed authorities that her son and her husband’s white Toyota Corolla were missing.

YouTube, hours after, removed the video, stating that it violated their graphic violence policy, and closed down Justin Mohn’s channel. The video had been online for approximately five hours. A statement from YouTube assured that their teams are actively monitoring to prevent any re-uploads of the disturbing content.

According to NBC News, Mohn had a history of legal issues, having filed at least three lawsuits against federal agencies, including the U.S. government, claiming negligence that allegedly led him to take student loans. These claims were dismissed, with a judge labeling them as “entirely speculative and without factual basis.” Mohn also sued his former employer, Progressive Insurance, in 2020 for wrongful termination and sex discrimination against men. The court ruled against him, stating that he failed to establish a case of discrimination.

Mohn, who represented himself in these lawsuits, was highly active on social media, where he promoted his self-released music and books, including dystopian science fiction. A nonfiction book released via Amazon in 2017, titled “The Revolution Leader’s Survival Guide,” contained a transcript of a letter to then-President Donald Trump, warning of a “peaceful revolution led by the author if positive change does not come soon.”

Justin Mohn was also arrested on a weapons possession charge and was arraigned on Wednesday, held without bail. A hearing is scheduled for February 8.
