Nigerian Musicologists Adopt Prime Business Africa as Media Partners For 2021 Conference

The Association of Nigerian Musicologists (ANIM) has adopted Prime Business Africa (PBA) as media partners for its 2021 conference which holds at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, from 16th to 20th August, 2021.

The conference which is held annually, is 18th in series. ANIM is a body for academics working in the field of musicology in Nigerian universities.

During the conference, there will be awards for individuals who have distinguished themselves in the field of practice and made significant contributions to societal development.

Among the awardees are Chairman of Grand Towers,  Nze Chidi Duru, Deaconess (Mrs) Ngozi Okoh, Vice Chancellor of Unizik, Prof. Charles Okechukwu Esimone and immediate past VC of the University, Prof. Eberendu Ahaneku.

ANIM will also honour Bishop Owen Nwokolo of the Diocese on the Niger, Prof. Joseph Atubokiki Ajienka, Group Capt. Ernest Richard Bassey, Prof. Charles Okechukwu Esimone and RT. Hon. (PHARM.) Chris Obinna Emeneka.

The event which is hosted by the Department of Music, Unizik, includes the following as organizers: Dr Mrs Chinyere Esimone, Chairperson, Local Organizing Committee, Prof. Alvan-Ikoku Nwamara, Head of Department of Music.

The conference features composition forum, performers forum, music educators forum, music therapist forum among others.
