The spiritual director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has tendered apology to Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi and his supporters, also asking for forgiveness over his utterances against him last Wednesday.

Mbaka also blessed Obi and his supporters, stating that his intention was not to harm the reputation of the LP flag bearer as he remains his friend but was misunderstood.

This blessings and apology was contained in a letter he signed and made available on Friday, June 17th, 2022.

In his letter, he also addressed Obi’s supporters saying they are the youths he has been praying, sacrificing, fighting, speaking and working for their well being.

He pleaded “In any way, the supporters of Mr. Peter Obi feel offended by my utterances or however I was misunderstood by them, I ask for their understanding and forgiveness.”

Rev. Fr. Mbaka also clarified that he is not in any political party but he supports good people and good governance. “Any good person that God can give us is my choice candidate. I am a servant of God, for the sake of peace, I ask for  forgiveness in any way I am misunderstood.

“And to Peter Obi himself, I ask God to bless him and manifest His will in his life. When God says yes, who can say no? And when God says no, Who can say yes? I bless Peter Obi and pray for him.”

Recall that angry reactions had trailed the Catholic priest after his utterances against Peter Obi in his last ministration at his adoration ground in Enugu on Wednesday, June 15th 2022.

He had said that now that the flag bearer for People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar wants to help Peter Obi for the presidency together, Obi became serious to run for presidency.

The priest also mention that his apology on the previous attack was not done wholeheartedly, but under compulsion by his Catholic bishop. He asserted “ I did it because I am a Catholic priest and my bishop said do it. Mine is to be obedient to my bishop.”

He continued “A good old man is better than a young wicked man” he illustrated Atiku and Peter Obi.

He further argued “I’m not saying he is a bad man but a stingy man. He may be a good man but a hungry person does not need a stingy but a generous man.

“This man has a lot of money but he has those he gives in secrecy. This people won’t benefit him but that he does in the presence of the Holy spirit because the spiritual controls the physical.

“I’ll be very happy once I’m done with this speech. Remember the apology I once gave was a poisonous curse against Peter Obi. If he knows what is best for him, he should come to this ground to say he is sorry.

“When he was impeached as the governor of Anambra State, I knew how I struggled to reinstall him but see how he repaid me, he didn’t give anything back to the Adoration ministry. I leave it to God.”

Mbaka also during his ministration revealed how he gave Atiku Abubakar and former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan conditions on how to emerge winners during the last and previous elections but failed to yield to his revelations.
