Lacazette Rescues Arsenal From Defeat In Draw Against Vieira’s Crystal Palace

Substitute Alexandre Lacazette spared Arsenal’s blushes with a last gasp goal to secure a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium Monday night in the Premier League.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang had scored to put the Gunners ahead but Palace fought back to go ahead after an impressive second half for the Eagles coached by Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.

The visitors’ goals were quite controversial to say the least as Christian Benteke and Odsonne Edouard struck in the second half to seemingly win the game – only for substitute Lacazette to level with the last kick of the match.

Lacazette cut an inspired figure for Arsenal as he urged the fans to cheer them on and went on to let fly a shot that the Palace keeper parried away for a corner kick.

Vieira’s team were without influential forward Wifried Zaha through sickness.
