ZAzuu Crooner, Portable, Wins Artiste Of The Year Award, Says He Is 'New Born Fela'

Nigerian singer, Portable, has won the Artiste of the Year award during the Golden Stars Award concluded on Sunday.

The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner in expressing his excitement declared himself “Newborn Fela” in an Instagram post he made to share the news.

The post read, “Akoi Grace IKA Of Africa Kinimah Fajah Trending Artist Of The Year Portable Omolalomi New Born Fela Wahala Musician. Big Thanks to all my lovers outside ZAzuu Akoi Million Fans @goldenstarsaward Cc. @babyluvgram Akoi Best Artist Manager Of The Year, Na God Dey Run Am.”

Accepting the award, Portable thanked his fans for their support, vowing for the second time to bring the Grammy.

Portable had made the rant following the song’s 6.6 million viewership on YouTube at the time. It is one of the most-played songs on Spotify.

Portable, born Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, is a fast-rising Nigerian singer and songwriter also known as Dr Zeh. He took the music scene by storm since December 2021.

He is also known with some street slang such as the son of Shaku Shaku, or Wahala Musician.

The Ogun State indigene is a prolific Yoruba language speaker as seen in his songs.

In his days in school, Portable became engrossed with rap songs by top rappers across the world. Listening to rap artists such as American artists such as Dr Dre, Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G and Snoop Dogg, became his habit.
