Bulls Charge Ahead As NGX Shatters Records As Market Cap Surpasses N50trn

The market capitalisation of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) was N127.36 trillion on Friday, March 13, while the all-share index (ASI) closed at 198,407.3 ASI.

Equity investors traded 591.04 million shares in 53,066 deals, valued at N35 billion on Friday.

Top five gainers

  • TAJSUKS1’s share price increased by N9.90 kobo to rise from N90 to N99.90 kobo per share.
  • Guinness’ share value grew by N35, from N350 to N385 per share.
  • Royal Exchange ended trading at N1.70 kobo per share, from N1.87 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.17 kobo.
  • UPL’s share appreciated by N0.50 kobo to end trading at N5.50 kobo, having opened with N5.
  • May & Baker’s share value was up by N3.75 kobo, after closing at N41.50 kobo from N37.75 kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • RT Briscoe’s share price depreciated by N1.05, dwindling from N11.45 kobo to N10.40 kobo per share.
  • Lotus Hal45 recorded a N12.55 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N128 after opening with N140.55 kobo per share.
  • Learn Africa recorded a N0.75 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N8.25 kobo after opening with N9 per share.
