Also, the all-share index (ASI) depreciated by 321.65 basis points from 106,074.26 index to 105,752.61 ASI.

Data provided by the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) showed that the market capitalisation rose by N508.14 billion, as the ASI improved by 790.59 basis points to 106,074.26 index, from 105,283.67 ASI.

Data obtained from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) said 428,08 million shares were traded in 14,284 deals, valued at N20.17 billion, which is higher than the N10,37 billion exchanged for 328,25 million shares in 12,142 deals.

Top five gainers

International Breweries’ share price increased by N0.70 kobo to rise from N7 to N7.70 kobo per share.

Legend Internet’s share value grew by N0.62 kobo, up from N6.20 kobo to N6.82 kobo per share.

Ikeja Hotel ended trading at N12.10 kobo per share, from N11 per share – indicating an increase of N1.10 kobo.

Vital Foam gained N4.05 to end trading at N44.85 kobo, having opened with N40.80 kobo.

Eterna’s share value was up by N3.60 kobo, after closing at N39.90 kobo from N36.30 kobo per share.

Top five losers

Dangote Cement’s share price depreciated by N48, dwindling from N480 to N432 kobo per share.

Regal Insurance recorded an 8.06 percent decline in its share price to end trading at N0.57 kobo after opening with N0.62 kobo per share.

VFD Group lost N1.40 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N17.10 kobo from N18.50 kobo per share.

Chams reported a decline of N0.16 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N2.20 kobo to end trading at N2.04 per share.

Sovereign Insurance recorded a 6.12 percent decline in its share price to end trading at N0.92 kobo after opening with N0.98 kobo per share.

Top five trading equities in the stock exchange

GTCO reported that 60.73 million shares valued at N3.80 billion were traded on its floor.

Fidelity Bank recorded 41.4 million shares valued at N829.29 million.

Access Corporation saw investors trade 40.55 million of its shares valued at N968.26 million.

MTN recorded 32.96 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N8.24 billion.

Zenith Bank reported 22.93 million shares valued at N1.05 billion exchanged in investors’ hands.
