Musicologists Association Holds Conference At Unizik

THE Association of Nigerian Musicologists (ANIM) will hold its 18th National Conference between 16th and 20th August, 2021, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

ANIM Exco has adopted Prime Business Africa (PBA) as media partners for the conference. PBA will livestream all major events of the conference from Awka.

At the conference, individuals who have distinguished themselves in the practice will be honoured with awards.

Among the awardees are  Chairman of Grand Towers, Nze Chidi Duru, Deaconess (Mrs) Ngozi Okoh,  Vice Chancellor of Unizik, Prof. Charles Okechukwu Esimone and immediate  past VC of the University,  Prof. Eberendu Ahaneku.

ANIM will also honour Bishop Owen Nwokolo of the Diocese on the Niger, Prof. Joseph Atubokiki Ajienka,  Group Capt. Ernest Richard Bassey and RT. Hon.(PHARM.) Chris Obinna Emeneka.

Lead paper will be presented by Prof. Richard C. Okafor of music education dept, Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu.

The conference features composition forum, performers forum, music educators forum, music therapist forum among others.
