INEC Declares APC’s Ododo Winner Of Kogi Governorship Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate, Usman Ahmed Ododo, has been declared winner of the Kogi State last Saturday off-cycle governorship election.

According to results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) State Returning Officer, for the election, Jonhson Urama, Ododo scored 446, 237 votes to defeat his closest rival Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who polled  259,052 votes.

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dino Melaye, scored 46,362 votes.

Urama declared Ododo as the winner on Sunday night at the state collation centre.
