APC Completes Upload of 471 Candidates to INEC Portal Ahead of 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the successful upload of all its candidates for the 2027 general elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP), completing the party’s nomination process for federal elective offices, Prime Business Africa reports.

 

In a statement issued on Saturday, APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, said the ruling party submitted a total of 471 candidates, comprising its presidential and vice-presidential ticket, 109 senatorial candidates, and 360 candidates for the House of Representatives.

Yilwatda described the completion of the exercise as a major milestone for the party, congratulating its candidates, leaders, and members for ensuring a successful nomination process.

“I congratulate our candidates, leaders, and members of the APC on the successful 100 per cent upload of our Presidential, Vice Presidential, Senate and House of Representatives candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP),” he said.

According to the APC chairman, the completion of the submission process allows the party to shift its focus to the next phase of its electoral preparations.

“With this milestone achieved, our focus now shifts to mobilisation and preparations for a successful campaign and a decisive victory at the polls,” Yilwatda added.

 

The successful upload of the party’s candidates satisfies a key requirement in the electoral process ahead of the 2027 general elections and clears the way for the APC to intensify campaign preparations in line with the timetable released by INEC.
