The All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally transmitted its approved list of candidates for seven senatorial districts and 19 House of Representatives constituencies to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the conclusion of its primary election appeal processes, Prime Business Africa reports.
In a letter dated June 29, 2026, and addressed to the INEC Chairman, the APC said the submission followed the review and approval of reports by its Primary Election Appeal Committees, which were subsequently adopted by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

The letter, signed by the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, stated that the approved list represents the party’s final position on the affected constituencies.
The APC said the decision was reached after the determination of appeals arising from its recently concluded primary elections, in line with internal party procedures and statutory requirements.
Citing compliance with the Electoral Act, 2022 (as amended), as well as INEC’s regulations and guidelines, the party formally transmitted the list for the commission’s records and necessary action.
The submission covers seven senatorial districts across Kogi, Abia, Benue, Taraba, and Ondo States, alongside 19 House of Representatives constituencies spanning Benue, Taraba, Niger, Kwara, Ondo, Kaduna, Abia, and Ebonyi States.
Among the senatorial changes, Senator Sunday Karimi replaces Aro Samuel Bamidele for Kogi West, while Prince Paul Ikonne emerges for Abia South, replacing Erondu Uchenna Erondu. In Benue North-East, Senator Emmanuel Memga Udende replaces former Governor Gabriel Suswam, while Senator Titus Tartenger Zam replaces Benjamin T. Aber in Benue North-West.
Other adjustments include Senator Shuibu Isa Lau replacing Mohammed Kabir Bello in Taraba North, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire (SAN) replacing Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti in Ondo Central, and Senator Olajide Ipinsa replacing Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye in Ondo North.

For the House of Representatives, the list features several substitutions across constituencies. Dickson Tarkighir replaces Rasaq Obe in Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency, while Rt. Hon. Peter Abel Diah replaces Hon. Nongo T. David in Gashaka/Kurmi/Sardauna Federal Constituency.
In Kaduna North, Abdulazeez Kaka replaces Hon. Samaila Abdu Suleiman, while other constituencies across Ondo, Benue, Abia, and Ebonyi also reflect updated nominees following the appeal review process.
The APC said the transmission of the list concludes its internal resolution of disputes arising from the primaries, clearing the way for INEC’s updated candidate records ahead of the 2027 general elections.
