The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has endorsed President Bola Tinubu as its candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

Governor Soludo said APGA and the All Progressives Congress (APC) would work together, noting that both parties share a common belief in progressivism.

“Progressives are working together,” Soludo stated.

He commended the president for his administration’s reforms aimed at fixing the economy.

Soludo, who compared the state of Nigeria’s economy when Tinubu assumed office in 2023 to the tide on the Atlantic Ocean, applauded him for his courage in embarking on bold reforms to tame it and make the economy work again.

“We know the state of Nigeria’s economy with all its unsustainable dysfunctionalities when you assumed office. You had the courage to tame the Atlantic Ocean in Lagos, and now, you’re courageously and systematically getting the economy to work again,” Soludo stated.

While acknowledging that there is still more work to do, the Anambra governor noted that in less than two years, important building blocks are already being put in place. He urged the president to continue with his  good works.

Tinubu visited Anambra to inaugurate projects executed by the Soludo administration.

The president arrived at the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri, Anambra State, aboard a Nigerian Air Force Airbus.

Tinubu, who was adorned in traditional Igbo fabric called Akwete with a red cap, proceeded directly to the podium, where the national anthem was played to mark his arrival.

He commended Soludo for his achievements as governor in the Southeast state in the past three years. He described the governor as a visionary and competent leader.

“I am honoured to be here. I commend my friend, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, who is a visionary and competent leader for the work he has been doing in Anambra State,” Tinubu stated.

Some of the projects commissioned include the Emeka Anyaoku Center at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, the new Government House, the Solution Fun City, and the 8-lane Aroma-Government House Boulevard in Awka.

Tinubu was honoured with the chieftaincy title of Dike si-mba Anambra. The chieftaincy title was conferred on on him by chairman of the Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Iweka of Obosi, on behalf of the 179 communities in the state.
