Plateau Killings: Buhari Warns Security Agencies Not To Spare Culprits

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered security agencies to work closely with people of Plateau State to fish out perpetrators of the brutal terror attacks in the state.

The President who described the killings as heinous, warned the security agencies not to allow the culprits escape justice. “They should not be spared or forgiven,” Buhari ordered.

The attacks by the terrorists occured in Kanam and Wase communities in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State where over 80 persons were reportedly killed, with scores sustaining various degrees of injuries.

The President ordered law enforcement agencies to work hard in order to bring the situation under control soon as possible.

He expressed condolences to people of the state over the terrorist incident, saying that as a matter of priority, peace must return at all costs to the state and the entire country.

“I urge all our citizens, the people of Plateau State in particular to expose the perpetrators of such incidents, their sponsors and those who encourage such criminals who carry out these dastardly acts of murder, so that the law will take its course. They must not be forgiven,” Buhari stated.
