25 APC National Officers As NWC Members – Amended Constitution

Following the adoption of a new Constitution, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has created a new membership structure for its National Working Committee (NWC).

The ruling  political party’s newly amended  Constitution, which was adopted at Saturday’s National Convention – and sighted by Prime Business Africa correspondent in Abuja on Monday – has at least  25 national officers of the party as NWC members.

Former Chairman of  APC caretaker Committee, Mai Mala Buni, Prime Business Africa learnt, signed the new constitution on  Saturday, March 26, the  day of the Convention, shortly before the presentation and adoption at the Eagle Square venue.

The constitution was approved as part of Section 8(1) of the Programme of events for the 2022 National Convention as presented by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, who chaired the Media and Publicity Sub Committee.

The slight change in membership structure means addition to and removal of certain categories of the party’s national leaders from the  powerful NWC.

The 25 new members of APC’s  NWC  include:

1. National  Chairman – Senator Abdullahi Adamu (Nasarawa State)
2. Deputy National Chairman (North) – Senator Abubakar Kyari  (Borno State)
3. Deputy National Chairman (South) – Chief Emma Eneukwu (Enugu State)
4. National Secretary – Otunba Iyiola Omisore (Osun State)
5. Deputy National Secretary – Barr. Festus Faunter (Plateau State)
6. Six (6) National Vice Chairmen , one from each  geopolitical zone (zonal chairmen)
7. National Legal Adviser – Barr Ahmed El-Marzuk (Katsina State)
8. National Treasurer – Uguru Mathew Ofoke (Ebonyi State)
9. National Financial Secretary – Bashir Usman Gumel (Jigawa State)
10. Deputy National Financial Secretary – Hon. Hamma-Adama Ali Kumo (Gombe State)
11. National Organizing Secretary – Suleiman M. Argungun (Kebbi State)
12. Deputy National Organizing Secretary – Nze Chidi Duru (Anambra State)
13. National Welfare Secretary – Barr. (Sir) F. N. Nwosu (Abia State)
14. National Publicity Secretary – Barr. Felix Morka (Delta State)
15. Deputy National Publicity Secretary – Yakubu Murtala Ajaka (Kogi State)
16. National Auditor – Sen. Abubakar Maikafi (Bauchi State)
17. National Women Leader – Dr Betta Edu (Cross River State)
18. Deputy National Women Leader –  Zainab Abubakar Ibrahim  (Taraba State)
19. National Youth Leader – Abdullahi Dayo Israel (Lagos State)
