President Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday for a three-nation diplomatic trip covering France, Kenya, and Rwanda, as part of efforts to deepen Nigeria’s economic and strategic partnerships, Prime Business Africa reports.
According to a State House statement issued Friday, the President’s first stop will be France before proceeding to Nairobi, where he is scheduled to participate in the upcoming Africa-France Summit.
The summit, co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, is slated for May 11–12. It will focus on key issues including energy transition, green industrialisation, digital transformation, climate action, and reforms to the global financial system.

The event, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” is expected to convene African leaders and their French counterparts to deliberate on economic transformation, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and peace-building initiatives across the continent.
The presidency said Tinubu’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation with African nations and France.
Following the Nairobi summit, the President will travel to Kigali to attend the Africa CEO Forum scheduled for May 14-15.
Organised in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, the forum held under the theme “Scale or Fail” is expected to attract over 2,000 business leaders, investors, and policymakers. Discussions will centre on accelerating Africa’s economic transformation through regional integration, industrial growth, and cross-border investments.

At both summits, Tinubu is expected to present his administration’s economic reform agenda and engage in high-level meetings with global and African business leaders aimed at positioning Nigeria as a leading investment destination.
The President will be accompanied by senior government officials and is expected to return to Nigeria after concluding his engagements in Rwanda.
