Following the break, Barcelona continued to dictate the pace of the game, maintaining smooth ball control. The breakthrough finally arrived in the 62nd minute when Robert Lewandowski struck home from close range, following a brilliant assist from Lamine Yamal. This goal provided much-needed relief for Barcelona.

In the closing stages, Barcelona continued to dominate possession, exceeding 70% of the ball.

However, they were unable to increase their advantage. Both teams made tactical substitutions, with Barcelona withdrawing Robert Lewandowski and Alejandro Balde, while Deportivo Alaves introduced fresh legs in the form of Asier Villalibre and Hugo Novoa.

The final minutes were run by a series of fouls and stoppages, with yellow cards issued to Raphinha and Fermin Lopez.
