Air Peace Leads With Highest Passenger Traffic In Nigeria

In its quest for route expansion and increasing connectivity for Nigerian travellers, largest Nigerian carrier, Air Peace, has commenced flight operations from Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri Anambra State to Gatwick Airport London.

This offers people who are traveling to London from Anambra or other parts of the Southeast, the opportunity to do so without first going to Lagos or Abuja to board a flight.

Prime Business Africa recalls that Air Peace began direct flight from Lagos to Gatwick Airport London on 31 March 2024, being the first Nigerian airline to operate that route since the last seven years.

Since the commencement of the London flight service, Air Peace has received wide patronage from Nigerians and foreign travellers. The airline’s entry on the route, hitherto dominated by foreign airlines, led to crashing of ticket prices.

The commencement of  flight service from Chinua Achebe International Airport Anambra has been hailed as a welcome development in the South-east and even South-south.

The arrangement is that London-bound travellers from Anambra will first be conveyed to Lagos where they will be transferred to another flight to London.
