Popular Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo, known as Jnr Pope, has been reported alive just hours after his rumoured death. This comes as a relief to his fans and the Nollywood community, as this is the second time the actor has miraculously escaped death.
Earlier today, news of Junior Pope’s tragic demise spread like wildfire. It was reported that the actor had lost his life during a boat trip while filming in Asaba, Delta State. The boat had capsized, leading to the drowning of Junior Pope and two other unidentified actors. Despite desperate efforts to rescue them, Junior Pope’s lifeless body was recovered and transported to a nearby hospital, where his passing was confirmed.

However, a mortuary attendant and a circulating video on the internet have now revealed that Junior Pope is, in fact, still alive. The mortuary attendant, who had been preparing his body for preservation, noticed signs of life and immediately alerted the authorities. The video circulating online shows Junior Pope regaining consciousness, further confirming his survival.
In April 2021, Junior Pope took to his Instagram page to express gratitude for the safety of him and his family after a fire ravaged their house. He shared a video showing the damage caused by the fire, expressing his thanks to God for intervening and saving them.
