In a concerted effort to unlock the untapped potential within Africa’s forestry sector, the African Development Bank (AfDB) is gearing up for its highly anticipated Second Webinar. Set to take place on March 21, 2024, from 10:00 to 12:00 GMT, this virtual event will delve into the intricate web of timber trade flows and trends across the continent.

As part of the annual celebration of the International Day of Forests, this webinar delves into the theme “Forests and innovation: New solutions for a better world.” The focus is not only on the raw export of wood products but also on how increased intra-African trade and further processing could elevate revenues for governments and the private sector.
