1. ‘A Battle of Records: Atiku Abubakar Quest for Tinubu’s Academic Credentials Sparks controversy’

The All Progressive Congress criticized Atiku Abubakar, the People Democratic Party presidential candidate, for trying to obtain President Tinubu’s Academic results from Chicago state university. The APC believes this action is a result of ” Post-election defeat disorder”.

2. 17 Independent Power Distributors get Licenses, 10 Operational

The federal government has issued licenses to 17 independent electricity distribution network operators, among which 10 are currently operational, the government announced on Tuesday. The government revealed this while providing a breakdown of the country’s power distribution segment.

 

3. Jigawa Police arrest Illegal Firearms Supplier

The police in Jigawa State have arrested six Nigerians suspected of being involved in the supply of firearms, acts of vandalism, and motorcycle theft. The Assistant Public Relations Officer Of The Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq explained that during interrogation, the suspects admitted to participating in the sale and distribution of firearms in both Kano and Jigawa states.

The Kastina state governor, Dikko_Radda, on Wednesday, condoled with the chief of army staff, Lt.Gen.Taoreed, over the death of a soldier, Mohammed Tijani. The governor offered heartfelt prayers to the deceased and was also said to have footed the medical bill of a victim of a recent terrorist attack.

Only ranking members can stand for elections and be voted into the office of president and Deputy president of the senate. This is coming just two weeks after the 10th senate suffered what many believe is an impeachment move against the senate president.
