The flag-off by the President will mark the exploration of crude oil in Nasarawa State by the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd.

5. Fuel Scarcity: NNPC Releases Additional 418m Litres of Petrol in 7 Days

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) released 418 million litres of petrol between March 18 and 24, new data from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has indicated.
The information showed that 59 million litres of the product were evacuated daily during the week, even as year-to-date daily average remained at 64.94 million litres during the period.

The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Iyorchia Ayu has said that his suspension by his ward, is of no effect, insisting that only the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) can suspend him.

Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike on Monday said that the embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Iyorchia Ayu deserves to be suspended and ultimately removed.

Wike, who is the leader of the G-5 governor, has been in a running battle with Ayu and the PDP presidential candidate in the 25th February election, Atiku Abubakar over the rotation of the Party’s national chairmanship position.

The Rivers governor accused Ayu of playing a major role in the crisis that befell PDP in the just-concluded 2023 general elections.

10. Value of Fairly-used Cars Drops By 47% In 2022 – NBS

The value of used vehicles imported into Nigeria decreased by 47 percent in 2022 to N325.05 billion from N617.48 billion in 2021, according to data from foreign trade from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The NBS report indicated that used cars with diesel or semi-diesel engines cost N72.32 billion to import in the first quarter of 2022, N96.76 billion in the second, N90.77 billion in the third quarter, and N65.19 billion in the fourth quarter of last year, totalling N325.05 billion.
