The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) reported that the market capitalisation of the bourse dropped to N157.48 trillion on Wednesday, down by N1.76 trillion compared to Tuesday’s N159.25 trillion.
NGX said the all-share index (ASI) followed the same path, declining by 2,766.39 basis points, from 246,723.57 index to 243,957.18 ASI.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelAccording to the data from the bourse, the volume of transaction increased to 1.43 billion shares, while the value dropped to N20.02 billion, after traders sealed 38,221 deals, compared to the 3.90 billion shares traded in 45,608 deals, worth N32.38 billion, on Tuesday.

- International Energy Insurance’s share price increased by N0.40 kobo, from N4 to N4.40 kobo per share.
- Ecobank share value grew by N6.45 kobo, from N64.95 kobo to N71.40 kobo per share.
- TransExpress’ share appreciated by N0.21 kobo to end trading at N2.36 kobo, having opened with N2.15 kobo.
- CWG’s share ended trading at N21.40 kobo per share, from N19.50 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N1.90 kobo.
- Cornerstone share value was up by N0.35 kobo, after closing at N5.50 kobo, from N5.15 kobo per share.

- BUA Foods share price depreciated by N84.50 kobo, dwindling from N845.10 kobo to N760.60 kobo per share.
- Unilever recorded a N14.55 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N131.40 kobo, after opening with N145.95 kobo.
- John Holt reported a N1 decline in its share price to end trading at N9.10 kobo, after opening with N10.10 kobo per share.
- Ava Capital lost N0.85 kobo in its share price, to sell at N8.10 kobo, down from N8.95 kobo per share.
- Austin Laz reported a decline of N0.28 kobo, from the previous share price of N3.18 kobo, to end trading at N2.90 kobo per share.

- Fortis Global Insurance reported that 853.16 million shares valued at N2.58 billion were traded on its floor.
- Universal Insurance recorded 251.81 million shares valued at N214.09 million.
- Chams saw investors trade 39.99 million of its shares valued at N180.95 million.
- First HoldCo recorded 27.01 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N3.72 billion.
- Access Holdings reported that traders exchanged 23.38 million shares valued at N647.63 million.
