The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched a virtual town hall meeting called EFCC Connect, to expand its reach and engagement with citizens within and outside the country.

EFCC Connect, is an online programme designed to engender close interface and collaboration with the Nigerian public, provide answers and clarification to issues, sensitize and educate them on the war against economic and financial crimes using the social media platforms – Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

The move, according to a statement signed by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren,  is in line with one of the objectives of the Commission’s Strategic Plan (2021-2025), to increase the level of public engagements in the fight against economic and financial crimes.

The EFCC  enjoined the Nigerian public  to be part of the weekly conversation which, according to the statement, will be transmitted live on its official handles – @officialEFCC –  at 7pm on Wednesdays.
