The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) market capitalisation increased by N3.18 trillion to N150.29 trillion on Monday, exceeding the N147,10 trillion recorded on Friday.

Also, the all-share index (ASI) appreciated by 35.23 basis points to 234,208.45 ASI, from 229,240.34 ASI.

Over 498.45 million shares were traded in 61,034 deals, worth N33,27 billion, compared to the 454.91 million shares traded on Friday, in 48,214 deals, valued at N27.6 billion.

Top Five Gainers

  • International Breweries’ share price increased by N0.95 kobo, from N9.50 kobo to N10.45 kobo per share.
  • First HoldCo’s share value grew by N5.50 kobo, from N55 to N60.50 kobo per share.
  • Aradel Holdings’ share appreciated by N127.50 kobo, to end trading at N1,403.30 kobo, having opened with N1,275.80 kobo.
  • NGX Group’s share ended trading at N129.75 kobo per share, from N118 per share – indicating an increase of N11.75 kobo.
  • Veritas Kapital’s share value was up by N0.13 kobo, after closing at N1.44 kobo, from N1.31 kobo per share.

Top Five Losers

  • Vitafoam’s share price depreciated by N18.90 kobo, dwindling from N189 to N170.10 kobo per share.
  • NAHCO recorded a N14.85 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N133.65 kobo, after opening with N148.50 kobo.
  • CAP reported a N17.50 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N157.60 kobo, after opening with N175.10 kobo per share.
  • Fortis Global Insurance lost N0.32 kobo in its share price, to sell at N2.90 kobo, down from N3.22 kobo per share.
  • Thomas Wyatt reported a decline of N0.26 kobo, from the previous share price of N2.75 kobo, to end trading at N2.49 kobo per share.

Top Five Trading Equities

  • Zenith Bank reported that 83.89 million shares valued at N9.18 billion were traded on its floor.
  • GTCO recorded 36 million shares valued at N4.57 billion.
  • Fidelity Bank saw investors trade 32.69 million of its shares valued at N580.15 million.
  • Access Holdings recorded 26.80 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N622.99 million.
  • Jaiz Bank reported that traders exchanged 16.22 million shares valued at N130.21 million.
