NGX Market Cap Rises To N125.96trn — Up By N804.56bn

The market capitalisation of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) increased by N804.56 billion to N125.96 trillion on Monday, February 23, from the N125.16 trillion recorded on Friday, February 20.

The all-share index (ASI) expanded by 1,273.78 basis points, from 194,989.77 ASI to 196,263.55 ASI.

Over N1,28 billion shares were traded in 95,091 deals, valued at N31,50 billion on the trading floor, up from the 820.50 million shares, valued at N28.32 billion, exchanged in 63,507 deals, on Friday.

Top five gainers

  • FTGINSURE’s share price increased by 10 percent to rise from N0.60 kobo to N0.66 kobo per share.
  • Okomu Oil’s share value grew by N145.90 kobo, from N1,459.70 kobo to N1,605.60 kobo per share.
  • Fidson Healthcare ended trading at N95.50 kobo per share, from N86.90 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N8.60 kobo.
  • NPF Microfinance Bank’s share appreciated by N0.62 kobo to end trading at N6.89 kobo, having opened with N6.27 kobo.
  • Infinity Mortgage Bank’s share value was up by N1.55 kobo, after closing at N17.30 kobo from N15.75 kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • TAJSUKS1’s share price depreciated by N13.51 kobo, dwindling from N99.41 kobo to N85.90 kobo per share.
  • TIP recorded a N1.95 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N17.55 kobo after opening with N19.50 kobo per share.
  • LOTUSHAL15 lost N24.50 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N220.50 kobo from N245 per share.
  • Deap Capital recorded a N0.76 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N6.86 kobo after opening with N7.62 kobo per share.
  • Living Trust Mortgage Bank reported a decline of N0.65 kobo from the previous share price of N6.55 kobo to end trading at N5.90 kobo per share.

  • Japaul Gold reported that 473.98 million shares valued at N1.96 billion were traded on its floor.
  • Chams recorded 51.52 million shares valued at N221.26 million.
  • Jaiz Bank saw investors trade 48.27 million of its shares valued at N566.89 million.
  • NSLTECH recorded 46.33 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N68.76 million.
  • Mutual Benefit reported that traders exchanged 42.45 million shares valued at N242.50 million.
